My favorite is Nightmare on elm street original version, but ill pretty much watch anything that looks good.

Neuromancer, if you want a surprisingly robust sci-fi; Life of Pi if you haven't seen the movie (or if you have, it's quite good either way); John Dies at the End for a fresh mix of comedy and horror; and American Gods because it's one of the best adult fantasy novels around.
